Tara Verde

Tesla Automotive Research & Artistry

A maker lab in the Alentejo Dark Heaven & Sky Reserve. Where electric vehicles get taken apart, put back together, and made into something nobody's seen before.

The Vision

TARA Verde is not a garage. It's not a shop. It's a place where things get made — part maker space, part alchemist's workshop. The name comes from two directions: TARA for Tesla Automotive Research & Artistry, and Tara as in the Green Tara of Buddhist tradition — the goddess of compassion and action.

The idea is simple. Take the Alentejo — one of the emptiest, quietest, darkest places in Western Europe — and build something there that could only exist in a place like this. Space to work. Silence to think. Skies to remind you how small the problems are.

This is where Ganapati's raid build will happen. Where the next ideas will be prototyped. Where the CAN bus gets hacked, where the de-badging happens, where the Ganesha emblem gets designed and fitted. Not a commercial operation — a creative one.

What's Here

🔧

The Workshop

A proper maker space with the tools to take things apart and put them back together better. Lift equipment, electronics bench, 3D printing. Where the raid build comes to life.

Destination Charging

EV charging for visitors — coming soon. The electrician is on it. Goal: a proper Tesla Wall Connector so Tara Verde shows up on every Tesla nav screen in Europe.

Camping Spots

Space for RVs, tents, and caravans. Under the darkest skies in Europe. Pull in, plug in, look up. Wake up to cork oak forests and red earth.

🚲

E-Bikes

The village is about 1km down the road. Take an e-bike — arrive at the local restaurant for rabbit, wild boar, or just a galao with the old men at the bar. No car needed.

🌌

ADHS-R

The Alentejo Dark Heaven & Sky Reserve — ADHS-R for short. Yes, the acronym is intentional. This is a place built by and for the neurodivergent. Also one of the darkest skies in Europe. No streetlights for 30km. The Milky Way is not a concept here — it's the view from the front door. Dark Heaven: the more interesting kind of heaven, where the R-rated movies are.

🌊

Santa Clara Lake

The lake is nearby. Swimming, kayaking, or just sitting on the shore watching the light change. Fresh water in a dry landscape. The Alentejo's secret.

The Location

Deep in the Alentejo, southern Portugal. Not the Algarve tourist coast — the interior. Cork oak forests, rolling hills, red earth. The kind of place where time moves differently. Where the nearest traffic light might be an hour away.

The village nearby has a restaurant with honest Portuguese food. Rabbit. Wild boar. Fish from the lake. The kind of place where the owner remembers what you ordered last time and the coffee is always a galao. About 1km on an e-bike, or a pleasant walk through countryside that hasn't changed much in centuries.

Connection drops in the last stretch home — several kilometers of unpaved campo roads. That's not a bug. That's the feature.

The darkest skies in Europe. No streetlights. No charging stations. Just cork oaks, red earth, and stars. This is where Ganapati lives — and where the TARA Verde lab is taking shape.

Not a commercial operation. Not a startup. A place where things get made because the maker couldn't stop thinking about them, and the silence here is exactly what's needed to hear the ideas clearly.
